Blend Y Barics
The Quarrymen's Barracks in Nantlle, built in the 1860s, were once home to the many slate quarrymen working in Dorothea Quarry. Since 2016 however, they have been our home and base, and where all our coffee is roasted, tasted and packed by hand.
We are always experimenting with different coffees here in the Barracks, and 'Blend Y Barics' is an opportunity for us to share with you when we hit on something we really like.
Blend Y Barics is our seasonal blend, and an alternative to our signature Espresso Blend. Though designed for espresso, Blend Y Barics makes for a delightful Aeropress, Stovetop, or Cafetiere.
Blend Y Barics will change with the seasons and harvests, so come along for the ride and enjoy what we're drinking at the roastery.

Barics blend is back, and as always, we couldn’t be more excited to share with you a blend of some of our favourite coffees from this winter’s coffee harvests and shipments.
We’ve loved roasting and drinking our ‘Nyabiraba natural’ crop from the always excellent ‘Migoti’ in Burundi, sourced through Omwani Coffee. It was the coffee that made our Christmas blend so… Christmassy. We wanted just one more opportunity to drink this before it’s all gone, and so for this winter blend, we’ve paired it with one of our favourite juicy and rich coffees to arrive with the recent harvest from Peru, ‘Cafe San Pablo’, sourced through Falcon Speciality.
The two coffees pair beautifully to give us a brew reminds us of cranberries and oranges, citrus and spice, with a sweet and buttery body.
We always strive to create a coffee that matches the seasons, and this juicy and rich coffee accompanies our frosty mornings in the Barics, warming us up whilst admiring the mountain view we are so lucky to enjoy whilst at work.
