Job Description

Front of House and General Roastery Assistant

Suggested time frame  May – September

 

We are looking for someone new to join our team this summer! This role will mainly focus on our customer experience at the roastery. Fridays are our busiest days for visitors and during the summer months we open on Saturday as a ‘café’ (Caffi Rhosty)  serving coffee and cakes to our Famous Poblado Plodders ‘run club’ and the public. This summer we’ve got live music gigs lined up and we’re crossing our fingers for good weather as our sight has no indoor seating! Nantlle is a very peaceful corner of the world, the atmosphere is relaxed and there’s always time to have a laugh with colleagues and engage with customers in a meaningful way.

 

As you might know we’re expanding to another sight – which means, for the right candidate who wants to be a part of Poblado Coffi longer term, there is possibility to expand this role into something bigger!

 

Main roles

·       Provide excellent customer experience

·       Making coffee for visitors

·       Preparing orders for customers

·       Helping with other essential duties when needed

Training will be provided.

Essential qualities and skills

·       Passion for coffee, fairer trade, and North Wales

·       Personable, polite, and welcoming

·       Welsh speaking (or the willingness to learn)

·       Experience of working in a coffee shop or in catering

·       Barista skills

 

 

Desirable qualities and skills

·       An understanding of e-commerce sites and other web-based platforms

·       Food Hygiene Level 2

·       Computer literate

 

 

Day to Day

·       Keep all areas looking clean and tidy

·       Welcoming visitors

·       Restocking front of house supplies

·       Helping wherever is needed

 

 

Job Perks

·       Unlimited coffee

·       Hourly rate above National Living Wage (dependant on age and experience).

·       Extra pay for weekend shifts.

·       Flexible hours during the week depending on workload (during hours of 7am and 5pm)

 

 

Working hours and renumeration

·       Core hours: 14 core working hours per week.

·       Essential working days Friday and Saturday from mid June to mid September. (Caffi Rhosty)

·       Optional extra days.
